A high school basketball referee in Kentucky blew his top, but it’s not quite what you might think.

This ref was hustling back into position on the other end of the floor after a defensive rebound, when all of a sudden an outlet pass skipped off his head, the ball taking his toupee into the stands.

The ref calmly grabbed his hairpiece, placed it back on his head and went back to work. Kudos to the one player who held his hand to his mouth aghast, before giving the official a tap on the shoulder, as if to say, Don’t worry about it. Your toupee only flew off your head into a crowded gym full of people.

“This was at Hopkins Central high school in the Second Region, it brought the house down,” one prep basketball fan told Kentucky Sports Radio. “It was a wonder they could finish the game.”

Take it from someone who knows: It’s time to embrace the Bruce Willis shaved head look, my friend.
