Eric Comrie Looks To End His Seven Game Losing Streak As The Jets Host The Flames

Eric Comrie will make his 11th start of the season tonight, with the Winnipeg Jets hosting the Calgary Flames.

Comrie has lost his last seven starts after starting the season 3-0-0 and is desperately looking to get himself and the team back in the win column. The 29-year-old has posted a .904 SV% and a 2.94 GAA this season but can't seem to help the Jets win games.

His task tonight will be to outperform Dustin Wolf. The Flames' 23-year-old netminder has been stellar, recording a .914 SV% and a 2.57 GAA in 24 starts. Wolf is a bit undersized for an NHL goaltender, but his athleticism and ability to anticipate the play have made him very successful early in his career.

The Jets have been receiving good news on the injury front. Colin Miller and Haydn Fleury won't dress tonight, but HC Scott Arniel said they are both available tonight. Vladislav Namestnikov and Mason Appleton skated for the first time since they suffered lower-body injuries at the team's optional practice yesterday. The Jets are hoping they continue to progress and become available sometime this week.

The Jets and Flames are meeting for the second time this season and for the first of two matchups in the next eight days. The Jets came out on top when they faced off back on Oct. 26. The Jets defeated the Flames 5-3 thanks to their dominant special teams and it was also Comrie's most recent win.

The Jets have enjoyed their hockey as of late and will look to win their fourth consecutive game on this homestand.

Puck drop is at 7:00 P.M. CST at the Canadian Life Centre
