Epic Patriots comeback means Canadian tennis player must go on date with Twitter guy
There were a lot of winners and losers from the incredible theater that was Super Bowl LI. And you can throw some random dude on Twitter as one of the big winners from Sunday night.

With the New England Patriots trailing the Atlanta Falcons, 28-3, a fan sent Canadian tennis pro Eugenie Bouchard a simple request.
@geniebouchard if patriots win we go on a date?

At that point, why not? It was tantamount to being up 40-Love in a fifth set. Bouchard — who goes by “Genie” — seemed confident a few minutes later.

But then things started to unravel — for the Falcons and Bouchard.

And less than an hour after that, it appeared that Bouchard realized she had made a deal with the devil. (Metaphorically, folks.)
Lesson learned. Never bet against Tom Brady ????

The fact that the guy has a Tiger Woods photo as his avatar … well, do with that what you please. If this thing works out, we might title this story “From Love-40 to Love” if you allow us.
But we’re not sure that the man with Bouchard in this recent Instagram post is too pleased with the late-night developments.

But to Genie’s credit, she doesn’t appear to be going back into the bottle on this one. Three wishes? This guy had one, and it came through big. Props, dude.
Bouchard’s siblings reportedly have nicknamed her “The Chosen One.” Who knew that she’d be chosen by a Twitter follower and that she’d lose what appeared to be a sure-thing bet. Great moments in Super Bowl dating history, we say.
