English Premier League betting: Stay away from Tottenham vs. Manchester United
Welcome to the 10th round of EPL fixtures. There are some intriguing games this weekend headlined by Manchester United and Tottenham. Man U manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under some extreme pressure after his team's recent run of form. Things aren't easy for Tottenham's Nuno Espirito Santo either. Tottenham hasn't gotten going this year and Harry Kane has struggled.
Here are all the odds you need to know for the weekend. All odds are from BetMGM and all games are on Saturday unless noted.
Leicester City vs. Arsenal (over/under 2.5 goals)
Leicester City (+150)
Arsenal (+170)
Tie (+240)
The winner of this game could end up in the top six by the time the weekend is up and maybe even as high as fifth. Arsenal is unbeaten after starting the season with three consecutive losses, though we think Leicester gets the win here.
Newcastle vs. Chelsea (2.5)
Newcastle (+775)
Chelsea (-275)
Tie (+375)
Don’t overthink this one. Chelsea has enough attacking options up front without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner to make this an easy win.
Watford vs. Southampton (2.5)
Watford (+210)
Southampton (+125)
Tie (+240)
Southampton is a significant favorite here despite having just one win to Watford’s three. We like the tie.
Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace (3.5)
Manchester City (-650)
Crystal Palace (+1800)
Tie (+650)
Crystal Palace could have enough tactical smarts in midfield to keep this game under 3.5 goals (-140). Why not parlay the under with a Man City win.
Burnley vs. Brentford (2.5)
Burnley (+170)
Brentford (+170)
Tie (+220)
Brentford is 3-3-3 in nine games while Burnley is still looking for its first win of the season. There’s nothing we’ve seen from Burnley so far this season that makes it worth betting on with these odds.
Liverpool vs. Brighton & Hove Albion (3.5)
Liverpool (-375)
Brighton (+875)
Tie (+525)
Brighton is still in fifth in the standings but was overwhelmed by Man City in a 4-1 loss last week. Brighton is a solid mid-table side but won’t finish in the top six. Liverpool.
Tottenham vs. Manchester United (2.5)
Tottenham (+185)
Manchester United (+130)
Tie (+260)
Ha, do you want to bet either of these teams at this point? We certainly don’t. Stay away and bet the total. Over 2.5 goals is at -145 and the under is at +200.
Norwich City vs. Leeds (2.5) [Sunday]
Norwich (+240)
Leeds (+110)
Tie (+250)
Norwich has scored two goals in nine games. Leeds will try to run rampant but has only scored eight times so far this season and has just one win and four draws. Leeds is the pick.
Aston Villa vs. West Ham (2.5) [Sunday]
Aston Villa (+165)
West Ham (+145)
Tie (+260)
The tie feels like the best value here, though we wouldn’t be surprised if West Ham does what it did last week against Tottenham and nick a late goal after a boring match.
Wolves vs. Everton (2.5) [Monday]
Wolves (+125)
Everton (+230)
Tie (+225)
Wolves have moved up the table in recent weeks and are rightly favored here as Raul Jimenez’s return has sparked the team. We’re going with a tie.
