England to referee Magpies' visit of Wolves

The Magpies host Wolves in their first Premier League fixture of 2025 on home soil, aiming for a ninth consecutive win across all competitions in the process, and this will be the second time England has officiated a fixture involving the Magpies this term.

The Doncaster-born official was the man in the middle for United's 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace in November and booked six players at Selhurst Park this afternoon, including Newcastle trio Joe Willock, Callum Wilson and Anthony Gordon.

The 39-year-old also took charge of Newcastle's 1-1 home draw against Brighton & Hove Albion last season and showed a total of seven yellow cards at St. James' Park, booking Lewis Hall, Miguel Almirón and Harvey Barnes.
