England midfielder favours Liverpool move over Arsenal

Eberechi Eze would favour a move to Liverpool over Arsenal this summer after both clubs expressed concrete interest in signing the Crystal Palace midfielder.

Liverpool and Arsenal have each made contact with Eze’s representatives to gauge potential interest in a transfer this summer, with Palace facing a fight to hold onto the 26-year-old.

Eze has a release clause of £60m in his contract at Selhurst Park and Palace are desperate to avoid losing the England international, following Michael Olise’s transfer to Bayern Munich.

Football Transfers have revealed that Eze’s preference would be Liverpool over Arsenal, given his belief of a greater chance of first-team football at Anfield. The midfielder is reluctant to leave Palace without a guarantee of a regular role. However, Liverpool’s interest hinges on Luis Diaz’s future, amid reported interest from Barcelona.

As things stands, Tottenham are the frontrunners to sign Eze. The North London side are the most advanced side in their interest in the player and can provide Eze with a more prominent role than either of their competitors.

Eze scored 11 goals in the Premier League last season to earn inclusion in the England squad for Euro 2024.
