Ella Toone ends incredible record-breaking run with Man Utd absence

It's been confirmed that Ella Toone will not be involved in Manchester United's game this afternoon.

The 25-year-old misses the match away at Leicester through injury, and it sets an incredible precedent.

The lineup marks the end of a record-breaking run as it's the first time ever that Toone has missed a game since Manchester United were promoted to the WSL at the beginning of the 2019/20 season.

She had appeared in their 96 previous league games in succession, the most of any outfield player for the same club in league history.

She'll surely be missed this afternoon!
