Evacuation orders affecting thousands of people in northeastern B-C are set to be lifted tomorrow morning.

A statement from Northern Rockies Regional Municipality mayor Rob Fraser says the orders will be lifted as of 8 a-m local time, while evacuation alerts will stay in place for the area that includes Fort Nelson.

Some 47-hundred people were forced from their homes on May 10th by wildfires that continue to burn nearby.

The continued evacuation alerts means that residents will have to be ready to leave their homes again with little notice. (11)
