Germany may have been denied by VAR in the first half, but they were thanking those in charge in the second after a crazy 60 seconds.

The tournament hosts found themselves a goal down six minutes into the second half when Joachim Andersen fired in a loose ball from a set piece, only for VAR to overturn the decision for a very narrow offside decision.

Germany immediately went down the other end, and VAR intervened in their favour once more as snickometer revealed a handball from the same player, which resulted in a penalty to Julian Nagelsmann's side.

That allowed Kai Havertz to slot his side into the lead from the spot, and capped an awful few minutes for the Danes.

With VAR coming to Germany's rescue, could it finally be their turn to lift the European Championship this summer?
