The current owner of the Brantford Bulldogs, Michael Andlauer, bought the Ottawa Senators NHL franchise in September 2023.
He also bought the OHL Bulldogs franchise back in 2015, when they were playing out of Belleville, and moved them to Hamilton.
During their time in the Hammer, the franchise won two OHL Championships in 2018 and 2022 and has helped develop big-name NHL players like Robert Thomas, Connor McMichael, and Mason McTavish.

But as reported by CHCH News, Andlauer has sold the Brantford Bulldogs to Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman and his family.
An official announcement is expected to be made on Monday. The sale is pending approval from the OHL's Board.
The team relocated to Brantford just one year ago for the 2023-24 season. With a new owner at the helm, we will see if there are plans to relocate the Bulldogs franchise again or follow through on the upgrade of a sports and entertainment center so the franchise can permanently stay in Brantford.
