Edmonton Oilers Recall Noah Philp From Bakersfield
The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Noah Philp from the Bakersfield Condors, it was reported Tuesday.
In his second full season in the Oilers organization, Philp has split time between Edmonton and the Condors, collecting an assist in three NHL games and 17 points in 28 AHL games. Since turning pro at the end of the 2021-22 season, Philp has put up 54 points across 101 regular season games with the Condors.
Before he turned pro, Philp spent parts of two seasons playing for the University of Alberta (U Sports), establishing himself as one of the better players in Canadian university hockey.
Taking a break from the game of hockey last season, Philp has come back and established himself as a reliable depth piece for the Oilers. If the team is ever hit with injuries, they know they can rely on him to come in and he could challenge for a full-time role in the near future.
