Edmonton Oilers Prospect Returns To Ottawa For Final Year
The Ottawa 67's are third in the East Division with 17 points and a record of 7-6-2-1, and the organization received a massive boost to its lineup.
The Edmonton Oilers announced on Thursday they have reassigned overage forward Brady Stonehouse to the 67's for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Brady signed as a free agent with the Oilers on Oct. 5, 2023. He was passed up in back-to-back NHL drafts but earned an NHL contract after he impressed the franchise as an invitee to the 2023 Young Stars Classic.
The stocky 5-foot-10, 194-pound winger returns after a six-month undisclosed injury. Despite that injury, Stonehouse has stayed relatively healthy throughout his major junior playing career in the nation's capital.
He suited up in all 68 regular season games in back-to-back seasons (2021-22 and 2022-23) and missed only four games last year.

In 201 regular season matches, Brady has scored 75 times, registered 136 points, and shown off his grit with a decent amount of penalty minutes with 179.
The Blenheim, Ontario native played on a line with Jack Dever and Will Gerrior Friday night as the 67's pulled off a massive 5-1 victory over the Brampton Steelheads. The game featured top prospect Porter Martone receiving a one-game suspension for his hit from behind late in the game.
“I feel like I bring a lot of energy,” Stonehouse said. “I want to lead by example and be vocal. I feel good. I haven’t played in a while, but I’ve been looking forward to it.”
And lots of energy is exactly what the Oilers prospect brings to the lineup. He never cheats on effort and has his foot on the gas every single shift. Brady isn't a big player but think of Ryan Lomberg in terms of NHL player comparisons for him: a smaller physical, gritty role player.
Stonehouse will want to have a better offensive season in his fourth and final OHL season. His production last season dropped from 37 goals to 20 and 57 points to 44.
