Oilers' Connor McDavid scores mind-blowing goal for first in Toronto
At this point, we shouldn’t be surprised when Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid pulls off a game-breaking move and scores a goal like this.
During the third period against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Monday, the 22-year-old doubled the Oilers’ lead in a remarkable way.
There is no longer any doubt in my mind that McDavid is a perfect hockey-playing robot.

During the Oilers’ final goal of their 6-4 win, the league’s star made Maple Leafs defenceman Morgan Rielly look like he was on skates for the first time.
McDavid finished the game with three assists in addition to his wondergoal.
Giving Rielly the benefit of the doubt, McDavid didn’t make his movements obvious.

The Oilers captain barely looked towards the net and waited until the very last moment to jolt towards goaltender Michael Hutchinson. The elusiveness that he is able to display is simply remarkable.
But unfortunately, we’re left to wonder how he does it.
McDavid asked about his process on the wondergoal:

This was McDavid’s first goal in Toronto — less than 50 kilometres south of his hometown of Richmond Hill, Ont. — and what a way to check that off the list.
He has now scored in 30 different buildings through his five-year career, according to Sportsnet Stats.
McDavid has 24 goals and a league-leading 69 points through 45 games this season.
