Group B action continues at Copa America 2024 with Ecuador taking on Jamaica on Wednesday night.

Ecuador collapsed in their opening Copa America contest last weekend at Levi's Stadium, falling 2-1 to Venezuela. Jeremy Sarmiento put Ecuador 1-0 up on the brink of halftime despite his side playing with 10 men due to Enner Valencia being sent off for a rash challenge earlier on in the match. Venezuela would go on to take advantage of having an additional player on the pitch in the second 45 with Jhonder Cadiz and Eduard Bello getting on the scoresheet to propel their nation to three points.

Like Ecuador, Jamaica also suffered defeat in their opening match at the competition against Mexico. The Reggae Boyz had their backs against the wall for most of the match, and Gerardo Arteaga's long-range stunner was enough to for El Tri to collect all three points at NRG Stadium Saturday night.

Ecuador will be without their talisman Enner Valencia after he was sent off in the defeat to Venezuela. Valencia was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Jose Martinez, and while he will miss the contest vs Jamaica, it's unsure if he'll be back in the mix for Ecuador's clash against Mexico on June 30.
