Sunday afternoon, the Knights rolled into a divisional game against their rivals Guelph with number seven looking to extend his regular season point streak to 49 games.
Goaltending and defense were optional in this barn-burner of what you would expect from a major junior hockey contest.
The two teams combined for five goals in the opening frame on 20 shots with the Storm gaining the edge leading 3-2.

London responded by outscoring Guelph 3-1 in the middle frame with goals from NHL draft-eligible defender Henry Brzustewicz (second of the game), Los Angeles Kings prospect Jared Woolley, and another draft-eligible prospect, Noah Read.
The Knights led 5-4 heading into the third period and Cowan still without a point on the scoresheet.
Guelph overage forward Max Namestnikov scored his third and fourth of the game, keeping the game close and tied 6-6 with the second half of the third looming.
With 6:21 on the clock, Noah Read snapped home his second of the game to give London a one-goal lead. Read's goal turned out to be extremely important for Cowan as it forced Guelph to pull their goalie with under a minute left.

Cowan narrowly extended his regular season point streak to 49 games with an empty net goal in the dying seconds of the game, which turned out to be the game-winner as Guelph scored shortly after.
Ken Campbell wrote that the OHL will not count Easton Cowan's current point streak toward a record because it spans two seasons. However, it is remarkable what he has accomplished and the consistency he has shown in his offensive game.
Cowan can hit the half-century mark Friday, Nov. 15 at home against the Sarnia Sting. The Knights are rolling with nine wins in a row and are tied with Niagara and Kitchener for most wins in the OHL (13).
