Early fantasy pickups for Week 16: Adds to take you to title town

Congratulations if you’ve made it this far. If you’re playing meaningful fake football in Week 16, you have a chance at a league title. But don’t celebrate yet, there’s still work ahead. Here are three players to consider adding to help put you over the top or to pickup to keep your opponent from getting a boost.

Cleveland Browns, Robert Griffin III, QB: It’s never pretty for the mistake-prone quarterback, but, in Tyrod Taylor fashion, he accumulated 196 yards through the air with 48 on the ground and a TD. Against a San Diego Chargers secondary that’s yielded just over 18 fantasy points per game and 7.2 yards per attempt, he could finish in range of 200-1-50-1 with a couple of turnovers. For those in deep-thinking formats, he’s worth a dice roll.

New York Giants, Paul Perkins, RB: The rookie logged just 15 snaps, but his 11-56-0 output was impressive. He churned out tough yards between the tackles, completely outplaying Rashad Jennings, who averaged a wretched 2.1 yards per carry. He’s a FLEX-only option, but in a matchup vs. a Philadelphia Eagles defense that’s allowed 4.4 yards per carry since Week 6, he could be a difference-making dark horse.

New York Jets, Robby Anderson, WR: Sriracha spicy over the past three weeks, Anderson continues to post banner numbers without much fanfare. Including his 4-80-1 line against the Miami Dolphins, he’s totaled 28 targets, 14 receptions, 240 yards and two scores since Week 13. Bryce Petty’s chesty injury muddies the QB waters, but in a contest with considerable garbage-time appeal (at New England), he has reasonable odds of cracking the WR top-20 yet again.
