Dylan Holloway 'Alert And Stable' After Scary Incident

Good news after a scary moment in Tuesday's game between St. Louis and Tampa Bay.

Former Oiler forward Dylan Holloway was struck in the throat by a deflected puck late in the first period. He finished his shift but got medical attention on the bench before eventually being taken off on a stretcher and brought to the hospital.

Thankfully, the St. Louis Blues have announced that Holloway is "alert and in stable condition". Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff reported that doctors say Holloway's windpipe is open and unobstructed and that he'll be okay.

Holloway has four goals and six points in 12 games with St. Louis after signing an offer sheet with the team in August. His offer sheet partner, Philip Broberg, was recently ruled out for four to six weeks with a knee injury sustained against the Toronto Maple Leafs on November 2nd.

Officials ended the first period of the Blues-Lightning game when Holloway was stretchered off, with 1:11 remaining in the period. The Blues now lead 3-2 in the third period with under seven minutes to play.

This type of injury can be very scary to witness. It's a good thing that there are positive signs at this point in time.
