Dylan Guenther Powers Utah HC To Rout Of Colorado
Dylan Guenther said after he signed his eight-year extension that Utah was home.
It's safe to say he'll be worth every penny of that contract.
Guenther potted 2 goals and an assist, Karel Vejmelka made 26 saves, and the Utah Hockey Club put on a show in a 6-3 pre-season thumping of the Colorado Avalanche Sunday night at Ball Arena.

The Avs controlled most of the first 15 minutes of play, including scoring a 5-on-3 goal, and it didn't help that Utah was late to the arena due to travel troubles coming from Salt Lake City.
But thanks to Guenther, who kick-started the surge with a late power-play goal in the first period and the tying goal in the second period, the club will be heading home with a win.
"It went pretty fast before the game. It's not the just time you arrive here, but your equipment arrives after," head coach Andre Tourigny said. "I think the boys did a good job."
Tourigny added some credit to Clayton Keller, who scored the back-breaking goal early in the third period, along with Guenther and Barrett Hayton, the first line for the night, for leading the charge.
"That's one of the perks of the pre-season, to build chemistry," Guenther said. "I thought we were able to do a good job and get a few goals."
With only three pre-season games left starting Tuesday, Guenther added the goal is to continue to improve and build that chemistry in preparation for the opener against Chicago in less than 10 days.
"We had a great performance from a lot of players, and we have a lot of decisions to make on who can fit where," Tourigny said. "We made a step forward today."
