Ducks vs Red Wings Pre-Game Stat Pack
The Anaheim Ducks (5-8-2) will conclude their six-game home stand on Friday night when they'll host the visiting Detroit Red Wings (7-7-1) at Honda Center.
The Ducks have only managed to tally two of a possible ten points through the first five games of this home stand and adding an extra pair would go a long way before heading out on a two-game road trip.

Moritz Seider, Trevor Zegras, and Lucas Raymond finished first, second, and fourth in Calder Trophy voting following their rookie seasons in 2021-22. Seider and Raymond combine for six points (three assists each) in 12 career games against Anaheim.
Zegras has totaled four goals and seven points in five games against Detroit. Production-wise, he's off to the slowest start of his career and will look to start filling the scoresheet tonight against a team he's had success against.
Tonight will mark the season debut for recently recalled defenseman Drew Helleson. He played three career NHL games toward the end of the 2022-23 season, where he managed to pot his first NHL goal.

Both Red Wings goalies have sparkling records against Anaheim and are off to hot starts in 2024-25. Alex Lyon may get the start in this game. He has a 1-0-0 record against the Ducks with a .936 SV% while Cam Talbot has a 17-8-2 record with a .935 SV% and four shutouts.
The only current Duck to have found the back of the net in their career against Lyon is Trevor Zegras, who scored two goals on four shots on Jan 7.
Patrick Kane has scored five goals on 47 shots (10.6%) in 14 career games against Gibson.
The Ducks have a 32-49-14 all-time record against the Red Wings.
