Draymond Green's 4 Kids: All About the Golden State Warriors Star’s Son and Daughters (and Their Hilarious Courtside Antics!)
Draymond Green and his wife, Hazel Renee, share four children
Draymond Green may be a four-time NBA champion and one of the Golden State Warriors’ most vocal leaders, but off the court, his biggest role is being a father to his four kids: Olive, Draymond Jr., Cash and Hunni.
The power forward and his wife, Hazel Renee, each have a child from previous relationships and share two together. Balancing the demands of professional basketball with family life hasn’t always been easy, but for Green, fatherhood has become a grounding force and a constant source of self-reflection.
“I spend a lot of time with my family and my kids. That s--- teaches you a lot about yourself," he told Andscape in June 2023. "You learn, ‘Oh, s---, I do that. Like, I need to do this differently because they get that, too.’ And so, spending a lot of time with my kids has taught me so much about myself.”
Green's children are often at basketball games, practices and sitting with him at press conferences. The professional basketball star also enjoys celebrating their milestones.
“Being a father is a full-time job that you don’t receive any compensation for,” he captioned an Instagram post in June 2019. “In the form of money at least. But you’re paid with unconditional love, joy, and happiness. It is the gift that keeps on giving. My biggest blessing!”
Here's everything to know about Draymond Green's kids: Olive, Draymond Jr., Cash and Hunni.
Olive Jay, 10
Olive Jay was born on Nov. 6, 2014, to Hazel Renee and former NBA player Jacob Pullen.
Green shares a close bond with Olive and has been involved in her life since he and Hazel Renee started dating in 2017. Apart from day-to-day moments, Green and Olive have spent time collaborating with each other for fun projects, like a 2023 commercial to mark the tip-off of the NBA season in partnership with KIA.
Over the years, Green has shown appreciation for their blended family. In honor of Olive's 5th birthday in October 2019, Green penned a sweet tribute to her on Instagram and mentioned Hazel Renee and Jacob.
“My little Braveheart,” he wrote. “I thank God that he chose me to be apart of your life. What a blessing you are, and I thank Mami and Jake for making such a wonderful baby girl and allowing me to take part in helping raise you. You’re such an amazing big sister and little helper. Keep being you little smart baby we love you!”
Olive has an Instagram account dedicated to documenting her early years, including her mom’s baby shower, her ultrasound photos and first swim lessons. Since then, Hazel Renee and Green have shared glimpses of her childhood, including her creative birthday parties.
The annual celebrations have had themes ranging from Alice in Wonderland to Trolls. For Olive's 10th birthday, the entire family gathered at the Sloomoo Institute for a Y2K-themed party.
Draymond Jamal Green Jr., 8
Draymond Jamal Green Jr. — affectionately known as D.J. — was born on Dec. 22, 2016, to Green and Jelissa Hardy.
Warriors fans are familiar with the younger Green, who has made several appearances at his father’s post-game press conferences. As an avid basketball fan, Draymond Jr. has also been spotted watching game film on the sidelines and helping hand out towels to players during the game.
For Green, having his son participate in the sport is meaningful and intentional.
“It’s the most special thing in the world,” he told the NBA in June 2022. “Growing up as a young African-American man with nothing, you go, and you gain all this success, and you make all of this money."
Green continued, "My fear is that he doesn’t understand how to work, that he doesn’t understand the things that’s going to face him.”
Despite his dad’s concerns, D.J. is already carving out his own hoop dreams — ones that look different from his father’s path.
“He tells me he’s going to be a coach. Like, ‘Daddy, imma be a coach in the NBA,’ ” Green added.
D.J. is already well on his way: He rebounds for Steph Curry and was reportedly devastated when Klay Thompson left the team, but he’s beginning to shine in his own right.
“When we're sitting at home and I tell him, ‘Hey, you can't go to the gym today,’ he says, ‘No, everybody’s here to see me!’ ” Green shared with E! News in April 2022 about his son’s growing confidence and star power.
Away from the court, D.J. spends time with his dad, stepmom and siblings at fun events, like movie premieres, family trips and birthday parties.
Cash Green, 4
Green and Hazel Renee welcomed their first child together, Cash Green, in October 2020.
The family displayed pink and white rose bouquets and gold foil letter balloons to celebrate the new addition to the family. Hazel Renee has described Cash as “sassy, wild, free, loving, and extremely bright.”
She shares a close yet playful relationship with her siblings, especially older brother D.J. Their bond, full of love and typical squabbles, often takes center stage during their dad’s post-game press conferences.
In March 2024, Cash walked up to the podium mid-interview to tell her dad, “Draymond hit me with the ball.”
Green paused to pick her up, calling her “my love,” while D.J. quickly defended himself, saying he did it because Cash had pushed him. Green then asked his kids to hug it out, ensuring D.J. gave his little sister “a real hug” before resuming his interview.
This wasn’t the first time D.J. and Cash stole the show. A year prior, after a Warriors game in May 2023, Cash interrupted Green’s press conference when her brother was copying her. Once their dispute was resolved, the duo helped their dad sign off from his appearance.
Hunni Green, 1
Green and Hazel Renee welcomed Hunni Green in December 2023.
Hunni’s three siblings gathered with their parents for a pink smoke and confetti-filled sex reveal in October 2023.
After her birth, the newborn was the center of attention, receiving cuddles from Olive, D.J. and Cash. Hunni later appeared in a photoshoot with Green wearing a tiny crown on her head.
Today, Hunni supports her dad at basketball games. After a win in November 2024, Green walked off the court with Hunni in his arms as he greeted other players.
Shortly after, in early December 2024, the family celebrated Hunni's first birthday with a bee-themed party. The festivities included crafts, games, face painting and more.
