Artem Dovbyk is doing his best to settle in in the Italian capital after completing the move to Roma.

The Ukrainian striker – who signed for Roma on August 2nd – is already trying to learn Italian quickly, aware that this skill will greatly facilitate his integration with the rest of the team.

In fact, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dovbykhas started taking Italian lessons intensively as he knows that speaking the same language as his teammates is essential to quickly settle into the new club.

During the match in Cagliari he encountered difficulties in understanding his teammates’ instructions, such as when Lorenzo Pellegrini had to mime the gesture of shortening the pass for him, because Dovbyk was making the opposite movement. These problems were expected, but Dovbyk is determined to overcome them as quickly as possible.

His wife Yulia, who started studying Italian months ago and intensified her lessons after the move, is helping him in this process.

The Ukrainian had already noticed the communication difficulties during Roma’s training camp in England and now he has decided to master the language to make his integration easier and be able to contribute with his goals, as he did in Ukraine and Spain.
