Doug Whaley: Bills could trade up in first round

The Buffalo Bills currently hold the ninth overall pick of the NFL draft.

But a scenario could exist where the Bills try and move up to take a key player. Bills general manager Doug Whaley, appearing on radio station WGR-AM, hinted at the possibility of trading up.

"If we think this guy is going to get us over the hump and get us into the playoffs, which is our stated goal, then why not make the deal?" Whaley said.

Most of Buffalo's confirmed visitors will be within reach at ninth overall. But visitors Sammy Watkins and Jake Matthews could be worth moving up for. Both have visited Buffalo, indicating the team is in high favor of them.
