Done deal: Joao Costa to join Al Ettifaq from Roma for €9 million

Roma have completed the exit of former Primavera player Joao Costa.

Together with Chris Smalling, the Roma youngster will leave the Italian capital and move to the Saudi Pro League.

The 19-year-old winger has agreed to a permanent move to Al Ettifaq, reports Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport.

Costa will sign a long-term contract with Steven Gerrard’s side, with Roma set to earn €9 million from his sale, which will mark a huge capital gain for the club.
