Would DJ Moore like Caleb Williams to take more chances downfield?

For his part on what has been a down season for the Chicago Bears, rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has played well considering the chaos he has endured.

From an offensive coordinator switch just eight games into his first season, followed shortly by a change at the head coaching position, Williams has played considerably well and continues to show progression in his development. The biggest plus in his game right now is that in the seven-game losing streak, Williams has not thrown an interception, the longest such span for a rookie in NFL history.

The numbers for Williams won't jump off the page, and he's continuously hindered by slow starts in the first half of football games, but he's playing mistake free.

On Monday, star wide receiver DJ Moore did his weekly radio hit with "Mully & Haugh Show" and was asked if he'd like his rookie quarterback to take more chances, and attempt bigger plays downfield.

"Nah, I'm cool with him just not turning the ball over and we being on the field, to be in a positive mindset to just stay on the field as long as we can and score," Moore said.

Taking care of the ball is critical to offensive success, of course, but so is putting up points and continuous amount of production as an offense. Williams has had several games with sub-par numbers, but he's taking care of the ball which is an important notion for young quarterbacks.

There's still four games remaining in the Bears season, so the rookie gunslinger will have an opportunity to showcase more to his game, which could in turn lead to ending the current losing skid they're on.
