A disappointing evening for BVB eFootballers – game against Hannover postponed

The Borussia Dortmund eFootballers lost their matches against VfL Bochum and Borussia Mönchengladbach, missing out on a place in the top eight and thus in the play-offs. The last fixture of the evening was cancelled by opponents Hannover 96 and will be rescheduled in the next few days.

The evening began with a thrilling derby against VfL Bochum. Following Roee Feldman's 2-1 win to even out the previous defeat in the 2vs2, the tie went to a deciding game. After a fiercely contested 90 minutes, Dennis Malcherczyk was defeated 2-1 by the experienced Timo "TIMOX" Siep.

The second match of the evening was a one-sided affair, as Borussia Mönchengladbach swept BVB aside to claim the points. First the duo of Roee Feldman and Bradley Destoop lost 3-1 in the 2vs2, then Feldman fell to a 4-2 defeat in the individual game. Alihan Kösecik was scheduled to contest the third game, but he was not required due to the defeats in the preceding games.

Due to an illness-related cancellation by Hannover 96, the match will be postponed and rescheduled for the next matchday at the latest. The clubs are currently discussing a replay date.

Next week (Tuesday, 30 January), Borussia Dortmund will face the following opponents: SC Paderborn, Eintracht Braunschweig and Hansa Rostock. As usual, you can follow the matches live on Twitch from 17:00 CET.
