What did Micah Parsons say following the Dallas Cowboys win over the Cleveland Browns?
The Dallas Cowboys defense dominated the Cleveland Browns offense in the team’s 33-17 season-opening victory on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field.
Cowboys star edge rusher Micah Parsons was particularly disruptive notching a sack, five QB hits and a tackle for loss while lining up in various positions across the defensive line.
After the game, Parsons spoke with FOX NFL’s Erin Andrews about the team’s performance.
“When we can disrupt a guy like Deshaun [Watson] it means everything, he’s a tremendous quarterback as you’ve seen he’s hard to get down. They got a tough scheme but I’m just glad we were able to be effective today,” said Parsons.
It was also the first game for new Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and Parsons explained his early impressions of playing under the former Vikings head coach.
“I’m just having fun that he’s using my mindset, being creative, challenging me every day. I think with a person like me it’s easy to get bored so I think the fact that he keeps getting creative, he keeps challenging me and I just want to keep accepting those. I really respect him a lot,” said Parsons.
Parsons and the Cowboys will return to Dallas in week 2 for the home season opener against the New Orleans Saints at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
