AC Milan have already secured their first signing for the Milan Futuro team, according to a report, as Mattia Sandri will be announced in the coming days. He may be the first, but he will certainly not be the last.

Milan’s entrance into Serie C was announced yesterday, with the club naming the team Milan Futuro, and today it was also confirmed that they will compete in Group B. Things are coming together quickly, in other words, and some signings are now expected.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Mattia Sandri will be the first signing of Milan Futuro as his contract with Sestri Levante (also in group B) will expire. The midfielder grew up in Torino’s academy and impressed in the league this past season.

Indeed, despite joining mid-season in October, the left-footed midfielders scored five goals and assisted another three. He only signed a one-year contract and was thus free to negotiate with other clubs in the last few months, with Milan pouncing on the 23-year-old.

Daniele Bonera will be the manager of the team and in addition to a few signings, he will also rely on the likes of Francesco Camarda and Kevin Zeroli from the Primavera side.
