Devils Should Trade For Bruins Big Forward
The New Jersey Devils should be on the hunt for bottom-six help at the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline. It is no secret that they could use more secondary scoring, and the Boston Bruins have an intriguing option worth considering in forward Justin Brazeau.
On a struggling Bruins club, Brazeau is quietly having a solid year. In 42 games, the 6-foot-6 winger has 10 goals, 18 points, and 65 hits. Thus, he can put the puck in the net and provide plenty of grit in the process.
If the Devils acquired Brazeau, he could work on either their third or fourth line. In addition, due to his offensive skill and net-front presence ability, he would give the Devils another option to consider for their second power play.
Another thing that adds to Brazeau's appeal is his contract. He has a bargain $775,000 cap hit until the end of the season, so he would be incredibly easy for the Devils to afford.
Brazeau is starting to stand out as a trade candidate, with the Bruins continuing to lose and his pending unrestricted free-agent status. If he is officially made available before the deadline, the Devils should have him on their list.
