Devils Prospect Celebrates 5-Point Night, Leads Comets To Victory Over Wolf Pack
On Wednesday night, the Utica Comets hosted the Hartford Wolf Pack, the New York Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, at Adirondack Bank Center.
Over the course of the 60-minute game, it was one of the New Jersey Devils' top prospects, Simon Nemec, who stole the show.
The defenseman earned five points (two goals, three assists) to help lead his team to a 7-3 victory.

He collected his first assist on Nolan Foote's power-play goal in the first period.
In the middle frame, he scored his first goal of the night, which gave the Comets a 4-3 lead going into the second intermission. Shane Bowers passed the puck back to the defenseman, whose backhand shot beat opposing goaltender Dylan Garand.
Less than two minutes into the third period, Nemec scored his second of the game after receiving a pass from Adam Beckman.
The 20-year-old picked up two more assists for his first five-point game of the season. He previously had a three-point performance on Jan. 8 against the Syracuse Crunch.
Nemec has appeared in 69 career NHL games with the Devils, earning 20 points (three goals, 17 assists).
