Devils Forward Placed On Injured Reserve

NEWARK, N.J. -- On Friday evening, the New Jersey Devils announced that forward Erik Haula has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Jan. 4, 2025.

The 34-year-old was injured during the team's game against the San Jose Sharks on Jan. 4.

Through 42 games, Haula has 11 points (five goals, and six assists), with his last goal scored on Nov. 25. Before his injury, he took 462 face-offs, which at the time was the second-most behind captain Nico Hischier. His face-off win percentage of 55.4% is the best on the team.

Justin Dowling has been filling in as the team's third-line center in Haula's absence.

The Devils have also been without Stefan Noesen, who has been fighting an illness this past week.

The organization recalled forward Brian Halonen from the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League (AHL) in a separate move.
