Devils Enforcer Returns To Lineup Against Ducks

It is a New Year's Eve clash between the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks to close out the 2024 calendar year.

Sheldon Keefe's team will look to jump back into the win column after suffering a 5-2 loss on Saturday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Devils will make one change to their forward group. Kurtis MacDermid will draw into the lineup in place of Tomas Tatar, who will be a healthy scratch.

MacDermid has appeared in 14 games for the Devils this season and has been in three fights, including one against Ross Johnston of the Ducks.

The switch between MacDermid and Tatar should not come as a surprise, with players like Radko Gudas and Jacob Trouba.

In the previous meeting between the two teams, Gudas hit Devils forward Curtis Lazar, resulting in an injury that required a knee procedure. The 29-year-old missed 25 games.

Entering tonight's contest, the Devils have a 10-3-1 record with MacDermid in the lineup.

Puck drop between the Devils and Ducks will be 8:00 P.M. Fans can watch the game on MSGSN 2 or listen on the Devils Hockey Network.
