Seamus Casey will represent the New Jersey Devils at the annual NHLPA Rookie Showcase on Sept. 4.
The showcase, presented by Upper Deck, will occur at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Virginia. Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reported that the event is closed to the public.
Casey, 20, signed his three-year, entry-level contract on May 6. New Jersey selected him in the 2022 NHL Draft (46th overall).

The 5-foot-10 defenseman is coming off a season where he earned 45 points (seven goals, 38 assists) in 39 games with the Wolverines at the University of Michigan. He led all defensemen in scoring.
After two years at Michigan, the young blueliner will begin his professional hockey career this season.
"For me, I just want to do my best to get a chance to make the team, and if not, wherever they think is best for me, the spot where they think I'll develop the most, whatever I can do to help the organization, I'm just excited to come to camp and do my best," he said.
Casey is expected to report to the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League (AHL), where he will make his professional debut on Oct. 11 against the Syracuse Crunch.
At the NHLPA Rookie Showcase, he will be joined by Shakir Mukhamadullin, a 2020 Devils draft pick who was traded to the San Jose Sharks for Timo Meier. Other notable names include Josh Doan (Utah Hockey Club), Cutter Gauthier (Anaheim Ducks), and Macklin Celebrini (Sharks).
