Muay Thai may be known as “the art of eight limbs” but Lerdsila Chumpairtour needed only one to deliver one of the fastest roundhouse kicks you are ever likely to see.
Facing debutant Jacob Hebeisen at Lion Fight 36 in Mashantucket, Conn. on Friday night, the 220-fight veteran delivered a devastating knockout blow with his left foot. The Phuket native turned the lights out with an incredible degree of been there, done that, got all the belts and t-shirts.
Hebeisen, who competes as an MMA fighter, was making his professional Muay Thai debut after two other opponents dropped out of the headline act at late notice.
The ‘welcome to the sport’ knockout was the 31st of Chumpairtour’s career.
