Detroit Lions at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 6 game

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) return from their bye week to take on the red hot Detroit Lions (4-1).

The Lions are riding a three-game win streak and are coming off a 42-24 smacking of the Carolina Panthers. Detroit's offense notched six touchdowns with five different players scoring. Sam LaPorta was the recipient of two of Jared Goff's three scores.

Prior to the break, Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers bounced back from their lone loss of the season by beating the New Orleans Saints 26-9. The quarterback has thrown for 882 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions so far this season.

The two teams last faced off in 2020 when the Tom Brady-led Buccaneers beat the Lions 47-7. Mike Evans had two touchdowns.

Tyler Dragon: Lions 26, Buccaneers 20

The Lions are 4-1 and the Bucs are 3-1. The Bucs, though, might have multiple losses on the horizon after a relatively soft schedule to begin the season. Tampa Bay will have more believers if they knock the Lions off their pedestal. Detroit’s won three in a row. They have won each of their last three by at least two scores.

Victoria Hernandez: Lions 28, Buccaneers 21

Both teams haven't exactly had the greatest strength of schedule so far this season, but the Lions have looked more impressive overall. Their Week 1 upset of the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs set the tone for their season. They probably won't put up the same numbers as last week, but shouldn't have a problem getting the win and covering the spread.

Safid Deen: Lions 31, Buccaneers 24

The Lions are on a tear, with Jared Goff and Aidan Hutchinson leading the way. If Amon-Ra St. Brown returns from an abdomen injury, I like the Lions over the Bucs in Tampa Bay. While the Bucs are coming off a bye, and Baker Mayfield has played well, Detroit is the more cohesive unit and will be a tough matchup for any team they face this season.
