Details: Sevilla close agreement for Arsenal star

La Liga outfit Sevilla have on Thursday sealed an agreement for a fresh addition to the club’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Sambi Lokonga as the player in question.

The name of Arsenal star Lokonga has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Nervión for several weeks now.

As much comes after word was forthcoming that the Belgian, out of favour at parent club Arsenal under the watch of Mikel Arteta, had been identified as a leading summer target by the aforementioned Sevilla.

Negotiations, in turn, had long been kicked into gear between the parties, surrounding the terms of a summer transfer.

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, such discussions have at last borne fruit.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Albert Sambi-Lokonga to Sevilla, here we go! Deal in place with Arsenal on loan move for the midfielder.’

Lokonga is set to set to take his talents to The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán for the duration of the upcoming season, with his salary covered, in full, by Sevilla.

From here, the Andalusians will then have the option to make the transfer a permanent one, for a sum in the region of €12 million.
