The coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona have drawn up a specialised training schedule for youngster Ansu Fati.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards as much as having been designed to ensure the ideal environment for the Spanish international to thrive.

Wide-man Ansu if of course fresh off returning to Catalunya’s capital, on the back of a disappointing loan spell in England with Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 21-year-old is nothing short of desperate to prove himself worthy of a place in new head coach Hansi Flick’s plans for the campaign ahead, though, therefore working tirelessly across the German’s pre-season sessions to date.

And, as alluded to above, Flick is also doing his part to ensure that Ansu is afforded the best chance possible to prove his worth.

With injury woes having plagued the winger over recent years, Sport reveal that:

‘The German’s technical staff has pampered Ansu with a specific, tailor-made plan to improve his physical performance during these first days of his second spell at the Blaugrana. In training this Friday, the first open to the media, Fati was seen following a different routine to the rest of his teammates during the first few minutes.’

Whilst his teammates took part in group drills to kick the day’s activities into gear, Ansu’s efforts were individually overseen by Rafa Maldonado and Germán Fernández, two members of Hansi Flick’s coaching staff.

The gifted attacker later joined the rest of the group, but the intent of those in charge at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper had long been made clear – get Ansu back fully fit and firing for the start of the season ahead.
