Details: Barcelona reach €1.7 billion Nike contract agreement
La Liga giants Barcelona have late this week secured a monumental boost on the financial front.
This comes amid confirmation that a definitive agreement has been closed with Nike, over the terms of a new contract.
The subject of Barcelona’s discussions with manufacturing giant Nike has of course long proven a leading talking point in the media in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes with the two parties, after putting their public differences aside, having been locked in extensive talks over the extension of their kit production relationship.
Amid the long-standing monetary woes at the Camp Nou, it will in turn mark a boost for all associated with the club to hear that, late this week, an accord has been struck.
As revealed by the reliable RAC1:
‘The board of directors has approved in an extraordinary meeting the new agreement with Nike.’
Turning attentions towards the final details of the contract, RAC add:
Barcelona’s terms will be increased by €48 million-per-year through 2028
From here, this figure will be closer to €60 million, until the conclusion of the deal in 2038
The total value of the contract, spread over 14 years, comes in around €1.7 billion
