Derrick Henry age: Where he stacks up against other old running backs
Derrick Henry's age has not impeded any of his ability to dominate opposing defenses. The Baltimore Ravens' running back is in his ninth season as a pro, and he's on pace for the second-most rushing yards of his career.
Henry's ability to maintain his productivity over the years is especially notable at a position that has some of the lowest durability of any football position. Running backs take some of the most hits of any player on the field, which is a big reason why they tend to see their productivity diminish heavily by the time they turn 28 years old.
The Ravens' tailback is over that hump and still performing at an elite level as one of the league's best running backs in 2024.
Here's how Henry stacks up against some of the oldest running backs in the league.
