Inter have a big choice to make in midfield to replace Hakan Calhanoglu, while Juventus could revamp their defence and part of the attack in the Derby d’Italia.

It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 17.00 GMT.

Here is all you need to know about the big Serie A fixture.

This is a head-to-head between the reigning Scudetto holders and one of the main contenders, although neither of them can catch up to current leaders Napoli this weekend.

Inter’s injury crisis intensified with their midweek Champions League commitments, losing Carlos Augusto for several weeks.

He joins Francesco Acerbi, Calhanoglu and Tajon Buchanan on the treatment table, so Stefan de Vrij should come back in for Yann Bisseck.

The big choices are between the more attacking Denzel Dumfries or defensive Matteo Darmian on the right flank, but above all who replaces Calhanoglu as the playmaker.

Simone Inzaghi hinted at Kristjan Asllani being first choice if he is fully fit, but reports are pointing increasingly towards Piotr Zielinski instead.

There’s no confusion over the forwards, as Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram were rested against Young Boys.

Juventus are also missing quite a few big names, as Douglas Luiz picked up an injury in the warm-up of their Champions League defeat to VfB Stuttgart, joining Teun Koopmeiners, Arek Milik, Nico Gonzalez and Gleison Bremer on the absentee list.

The good news for Thiago Motta is the return of Francisco Conceicao from suspension and Weston McKennie from a muscular issue.

Michele Di Gregorio sat out a European ban, but is back in the starting XI, while there are many doubts around the other areas.

Danilo is battling Federico Gatti for central defence, while Tim Weah could be given the nod rather than Conceicao.

McKennie and Nicolò Fagioli are tipped to start in roles that could be swapped around, leaving Khephren Thuram on the bench.

Kenan Yildiz can also shift positions and tactics in support of Dusan Vlahovic.
