Denver's Zeev Buium Named NCHC Defenseman Of The Week
Denver Pioneers defenseman Zeev Buium has been named NCHC Defenseman of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Buium, who is in his sophomore season at Denver, registered a goal and two assists last Friday against Miami (Ohio). In their second game against the RedHawks Saturday, Buium put up another assist.
Drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft, Buium has been lights out this season, collecting five goals and 19 assists for 24 points in 20 games. His assists total currently ranks second in the entire NCAA behind teammate and Florida Panthers prospect Jack Devine.
With Buium getting back from the World Juniors and performing at the top of his game, it will only make the Pioneers that much more dangerous. As the defending national champions, the Pioneers will once gain be a tough out this year.
The Pioneers take on the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs in two weeks time.
