Denver's Zeev Buium Among NCHC Honors

Zeev Buium earned his first Defenseman of the Week award this season with a monster performance in Denver's weekend sweep over North Dakota.

The sophomore defenseman scored three goals, including the first goal of the game and a power play goal that broke a tie, helping secure a 5-2 victory.

Buium achieved his first career hat trick and finished the weekend with three goals on seven shots, a +4 plus/minus rating, and two blocked shots.

Forward of the Week: Dominic James (Minnesota Duluth)

Dominic James received his second NCHC Forward of the Week award this season after leading Minnesota Duluth to a weekend sweep over Miami (OH).

The senior forward scored one goal on eight shots and had four assists in the two games, with a notable three-point performance (1-2-3) in a 5-0 win on Friday.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs captain contributed two more assists in a 7-2 victory. James leads Minnesota Duluth skaters with seven goals and 15 points this season.

Goaltender of the Week: Adam Gajan (Minnesota Duluth)

Adam Gajan earned his first NCHC weekly honors after stopping a combined 39 of 41 shots in Minnesota Duluth's two-game sweep of Miami (OH).

The Chicago Blackhawks draft pick recorded his first collegiate shutout with 21 saves on Friday and made 18 saves in Saturday's 7-2 win.

Gajan owns a 3.25 goals-against average and .891 save percentage in 10 games this year.

Rookie of the Week: Hampton Slukynsky (Western Michigan)

Hampton Slukynsky has been named Rookie of the Week, marking his first NCHC weekly honor.

The Los Angeles Kings draft pick recorded 27 saves in Western Michigan's tie against Colorado College on Saturday, including 12 saves in the second period alone.

This season, the freshman goaltender has a 1.72 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage in four games.
