Dennis Hildeby Starts For the Maple Leafs, Nick Robertson, Ryan Reaves and Phillippe Myers Also Draw In Against Sabres
The Toronto Maple Leafs will have a different lineup when they take on the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday evening.
According to Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube, Nick Robertson, Ryan Reaves, and Philippe Myers will enter the lineup. Pontus Holmberg, Fraser Minten, and Conor Timmins will come out ahead of the second of back-to-back games.
Maple Leafs lineup changes going into game vs. Sabres, per head coach Craig Berube:
In: Robertson, Reaves, Myers
Out: Holmberg, Minten, Timmins— Nick Barden (@nickbarden) December 15, 2024
"Reaves and Robertson and Myers are in," Berube said, before joking about who's coming out of the lineup. "Sittler *laughs*. No, Holmberg, Timmins, and Minten are out today."
Dennis Hildeby will start for Toronto against the Sabres, his third game of the season after playing two with the Maple Leafs earlier this year. The 23-year-old has an .869 save percentage through that span.
Anthony Stolarz was placed on the team's injured reserve on Sunday afternoon.
Toronto fell 4-2 to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. Minten centered the Maple Leafs' third line with Bobby McMann and Max Domi but was on the ice for the team's first goal against.
Holmberg has one goal in his last six games and six points in 28 games this season. Timmins was on the ice for Detroit's game-winning goal, after Toronto gave the puck away in the neutral zone.

Robertson has been a healthy scratch with Toronto for four straight games. The young forward has struggled to find the back of the net this season, only scoring twice through 23 games.
The last time Reaves was in the lineup was in the Maple Leafs' 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday. The 37-year-old has picked up one assist in 21 games this year.
Myers has been strong in the six games he's appeared in this season, mostly playing alongside Morgan Rielly on the top defense pairing. He has one assist and has averaged 16:31 of ice time this year.
