Dele Alli begins full training with Como: Contract audition begins – picture
Former England international Dele Alli has begun full training with the first-team group at Como during their mid-season training camp in Marbella, pictures confirm.
The former Tottenham, Everton and Besiktas attacking midfielder has been without a club since the summer. His contract with the Toffees expired in June 2024, but he was allowed to continue working at the club’s training centre for a few months afterwards.
Dele has been training with Como since the end of December, although he had been working individually up until this point.
Como are currently away for a warm weather training camp in Marbella, given that their Serie A match against Milan was postponed in order to accommodate the Rossoneri’s Supercoppa Italiana commitments.
A picture published on Instagram by former Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno shows that Dele was training with the group on Sunday.
The Englishman was part of the winning team in Como’s small-sided match in training, along with Moreno, Alessio Iovine, Luca Mazzitelli, Patrick Cutrone, Felipe Jack, Matthias Braunöder and Emil Audero.
Will Dele Alli sign a contract with Como?
Dele is not currently under contract with Como, but it is understood that he is currently working with the group with the aim of earning a new contract with a professional side, whether that be with Como or elsewhere.
Sky Sport Italia report that Como will decide over the coming weeks whether they wish to offer him a contract.
