A new Del Piero at Juventus: Dorotea joins Women’s U17s
Dorotea Del Piero, the daughter of Italy and Bianconeri legend Alessandro, has joined Juventus Women’s U17 side ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
Dorotea Del Piero joins Juventus
There will be a Del Piero playing for Juventus for the first time in 12 years. Alessandro Del Piero left Turin in 2012 after 19 years for a two-year spell in Australia, before an even shorter stint in India, which came before his retirement in 2014.
The Del Piero family have been residing in Los Angeles over the last few years, where the children, including 15-year-old Dorotea, have largely grown up.
Dorotea has spet the last few years playing locally in the United States, but will now return to Italy to play for Luca Scarcella’s U17 side.
She has plenty of work to do before getting anywhere near to her father’s Juve honours though. ‘Alex’ made 705 competitive appearances for the Old Lady, scoring 190 goals across all competitions.
He also has six Serie A titles, plus another from Serie B, a Champions League trophy, a Coppa Italia medal as well as four more from the Supercoppa Italiana from his time with Juventus.
