'Take a deep breath' and 'keep the faith in Pep'
We asked what Manchester City's New Year resolutions should be.
Here are some of your replies:
Nick: A holding midfielder has to be the number one priority. However good Kovacic is, he is always ahead of the ball on any breaks and doesn't have the positional sense required. A couple of full-backs including a specialist left-back would be nice and some support in the striking department as well. If I am being greedy, the club also needs a new number one keeper.
Roger: City need to take a deep breath and admit that a re-think is needed at all levels. Recruitment, tactics and training. In Pep we have the world's best coach but he does have the Achilles heel of stubbornness and it can cause resentment to both players and fans alike.
Jeff: First, we need to stop being so easy to play through. If that can be achieved we should find a way to attack that doesn't just involve passing the ball around the opposition box and inviting a breakaway.
Aaryan: Give Jack Grealish more game time - this is his year in 2025. Give Ederson back his confidence and he will be the best.
Peter: City are so feeble in challenges, some players don't even look as though they even want to win the ball. Dangling a leg out is never going to win anything. We need players with some bite and determination and we have very few at the moment. Some new players with attitude are needed.
Johnny: Keep the faith in Pep and the good times will return.
