Decision on Alphonso Davies’ Bayern Munich future to be made next week
Alphonso Davies is the subject of interest from Real Madrid amid an expiring contract at the end of the season, but the Canadian defender appears to be closer to signing an extension with Bayern Munich.
As reported by Tobi Altschäffl, Nick Huoseh, Davies’ agent, plans to stay in Munich until January 16 and by then a decision is expected to be made. Both sides were close to an agreement around the game against Borussia Dortmund on November 30, and now all parties are optimistic an agreement until 2029 will be found.

It was previously reported that Davies had reached an agreement with Real Madrid, but the player’s entourage denied claims that their client would join the Spanish giants this month: “Though the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club. Bayern could also be an option. Any reports suggesting otherwise are incorrect,” Huoseh told Philipp Kessler in November.
Davies has been one of Bayern Munich’s better performers this season and after a difficult 2023/24 campaign, is back to his best. The 24-year-old has played 21 games across all competitions under Vincent Kompany this season, scoring one and creating three.
