The late kick-off then saw Utah Royals upset Portland Thorns as the teams split the points in a 0-0 draw despite a staggering 41 shots combined.

Ashley Sanchez grabbed the headlines on Saturday after returning to haunt her former club and scoring the game-winner against them.

Looking at the table, Washington Spirit are third as their six-game unbeaten streak ends.
Portland Thorns sit fifth and are winless in three, while the North Carolina Courage are right below them in sixth.

A bit further down, Bay FC sit eighth with back-to-back wins. Racing Louisville are underneath in ninth, having not won in four.
Utah Royals remain at the bottom of the table but have picked up a vital point.
