🔬The Debrief on Friday's historic NWSL action
NWSL continues to roll on with another full weekend of games. It all kicked off Friday evening with games in Kansas City and San Diego.
Here is what went down.
What happened?
Kansas City remained unbeaten with a comfortable victory over Houston, though they were made to sweat for more than 70 minutes. Two Temwa Chawinga goals in three minutes saw them over the line.
Meanwhile, Chicago got back to winning ways after a horrid stretch of games, thumping San Diego away from home thanks to three second-half goals.

What this means
The Current are simply on fire, but unfortunately for them, so are about three other teams at the top of NWSL. Though they will head into the weekend at the summit with a three-point advantage. Plus, Temwa Chawinga’s two goals means she has passed Barbra Banda in the scoring charts as that race continues to heat up.
What comes next?
Friday’s action was only the start. Six more teams will be in action on Saturday, while four more will follow up on Sunday.
