David Montgomery had hilarious reaction to Bears hiring Ben Johnson
The Chicago Bears have hired Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as their new head coach, which ushers in an exciting new era for the NFL's charter franchise.
There's been plenty of reaction to the Johnson hire, including plenty of excitement from safeties Jaquan Brisker and Jonathan Owens, as well as fans and analysts. But there's someone who doesn't appear to be happy with the news -- and it's someone close to Johnson.
Former Bears and current Lions running back David Montgomery took to Instagram to share his reaction to his offensive coordinator leaving for Chicago, and it was pretty hilarious.

Montgomery signed with the Lions in 2023, where he's played a key role in Detroit's offensive success under Johnson. Montgomery rushed for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023, and he was on track to repeat his success in 2024 before he suffered what he feared was a season-ending knee injury in Week 15. He did return for the Lions' lone postseason games and he finished the season with 775 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, along with 341 receiving yards.
While Montgomery likely isn't happy with his offensive coordinator leaving -- yet along going to Detroit's rival -- he'll get two opportunities for revenge every season for the foreseeable future. And Johnson will be looking to make a statement against his former team.
