In a showcase between two excellent goaltenders, few would’ve guessed that Boston Bruins... forward David Krejci, would come up with the save of the game.

With the St. Louis Blues holding a 1-0 lead and the second period quickly coming to an end, Alex Pietrangelo barrelled down on an open cage with Tuukka Rask sprawled helplessly on the ground. It appeared to be a certain insurance goal.

Enter Krejci, who slid out and blocked a quick release from Pietrangelo, keeping the Bruins in the game.

If the Bruins rally in the third to take down the Blues, they’ll have Krejci’s clutch defensive timing to thank.
